Merek lokal berhasil membangun kehadiran yang lebih kuat dalam persaingan industri barang konsumen (consumer goods), ketika  50% dari 10 merek pemimpin pasar  teratas berasal dari produsen lokal. Meski demikian, ke depan diperkirakan persaingan makin ketat sehingga pemimpin pasar harus lebih kreatif untuk memasarkannya agar tetap menempati peringkat sepuluh besar. Hal itu terungkap dalam hasil Survei Kantar tahun 2019. “ Hasil survei  mewakili 85% dari total rumah tangga kota-kota besar di Indonesia,” kata Marketing Director Kantar, Fanny Muharyati, dalam keterangan tertulis di Jakarta, Jumat (21/6).
